Leading window and door systems supplier, profine UK, with brands such as Kömmerling and WarmCore in its portfolio, is proud to announce further investment in its already impressive sustainability drive, with the introduction of 16 electric plant vehicles.

Robert Long, Operations Director for the company, explains why the investment is so important: “The new fleet of vehicles for our plant includes Combilifts and Forklift trucks and will reduce carbon emissions by up to 89% compared with the old diesel equivalents.
“As a long standing trusted global supplier, we understand the importance of identifying trends and delivering what our customers need early. We are fast approaching a time when consumers will only want to buy products from manufacturers with strong green credentials, which is why profine UK has been investing in a greener proposition on behalf of its customers for some time.”
Robert continues: “Our objective across all of our brands is to prepare for a sustainable future. We already employ an intelligent recycling concept, are a founding member of an industry initiative to recycle old windows on a closed loop basis and we discontinued the use of lead-based stabilisers way back in 2004. But we refuse to rest on our laurels and are constantly searching for new ways to improve the sustainability of our products and operations and then investing to make sure these ideas come to fruition. This latest investment in an entire fleet of sustainable plant vehicles is testament to this ongoing commitment.”
